Channa Masala soup mix made with Channa Dal which is one of the lowest glycemic index foods with an index of 8. It's packed with protein, vitamins, minerals and fiber and may offer several health benefits such as improving digestion and lowering the risk of heart disease and diabetes. According to multiple medical websites it's considered a safe carb for diabetics. Channa Dal are not split yellow peas which cook up mushy. Channa Dal are split desi chickpeas a different variety from the kabuli variety we see in the US.
